Location: CIES Building
Topic: Future Present Perfect Continuous and "Being"

I met with Karina today and we went over a timed writing quiz she had taken in class. She did not understand why her teacher had changed the verb from "be" to "being." I explained the differences and why "being" is used instead of "be" in certain situations. Karina struggled with the concept but eventually after many examples she understood. After the examples, we delved straight into the future perfect continuous because Karina is very enthusiastic about this tense. It is the tense she seems to struggle with most, especially in her speech, and going over the tense has really helped her with her speaking fluidity. We did a lot of examples and I brought the worksheets that I had promised. We went over the old worksheets I had given her last session. After correcting all her errors and answering her questions, we worked on the new worksheets that I had brought for her. We decided to continue to go over perfect continuous tenses. Overall, the session was a really good session.
