Darliin Khahaifa TS#6

Date/Time: 3/28/18 3:00 P.M.- 4:00 P.M.
Location: CIES
Topic/Skill: Present verb tenses
Feedback provided to tutee: Mao Mao seemed to quickly pick up the rules for using the different present verb tenses. I did need to remind him to make sure his verb tenses agreed when using more than one in a clause or sentence. After providing examples with and without verb tense agreement, he understood the concept clearly.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: We continued practicing the present verb tenses by reading a short narrative. Looking at the relationship of the verb tenses in the context of the passage helped Mao Mao understand more clearly when to use each verb tense. I found that the context made learning more effective than generating individual and unrelated sentences.
