I met with Andrea and we discussed her composition questions she had over her homework. We mainly discussed when to use nouns and verbs together. She was having trouble placing present perfect continuous verbs in her sentences. We talked about the difference between simple tense and the continuous. She had started learning simple perfect continuous on her own and is progressing surprisingly fast. I told her to focus more on what she was learning in class and to learn what they are doing at her level and build up to harder grammar tenses. We did however, continue to go over the present perfect continuous for the duration of the session. We also went over Andrea's homework, and I helped her plan her essay better. We organized her thoughts on the essay again and brought out better, more concise details. Andrea does really well writing out sentences but still struggles focusing her ideas into clear sentences. Overall, the session went well.
