I met with MaoMao and we talked about relationships. I asked him what he thought would be valued in a relationship. He said that in his culture he would like a girlfriend who would cook and clean and take care of the house for him. I asked what he thought about relationships in America and if he thought he could date someone in the United States with the values of feminism here. He said that he could and would consider himself a feminist. He liked talking about social politics and I realized her really likes talking about any type of politics. We talked a lot about the #metoo phenomenon going on around the world and I said that it was a great thing, especially in predominately sexist oriented countries. He agreed. We continued to talk about the power of change and feminism and how it is different in each country. It was a really good session with MaoMao.
