Topic: Reviewing Homework/Composition
I met with Andrea today and we went over the homework she was assigned in class. The homework consisted of her writing her own essay. I helped her think about her topic and make a word diagram to be able to think of a central idea and supporting sentences. Then we worked on constructing clear and concise sentences that got her points across without editing her work directly. Instead, we worked on helping her be able to form her sentences well and be able to actually relay the message she wanted. After that, we worked on simple past tense and third person plural. Andrea still has trouble pluralizing her words, however, she is progressing very well. Overall, the tutoring session went very well and Andrea was able to complete most of the beginning of her essay.
